The license
Every Kimuor track is released under Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-ND 4.0). In plain words:
- Attribution — you credit Kimuor, in writing, wherever the content is published.
- NoDerivatives — you use the track as it is. No remixes, edits or new versions.
That's it. Monetized content is welcome. The full legal text is on the Creative Commons website.
Where you can use it
- YouTube videos, monetized included
- Live streams and VODs (Twitch, YouTube, Kick…)
- Podcasts, with the credit in the show notes or episode description
- Social media posts
- Reels, TikTok, Shorts and Stories, within each platform's own limits for music length
How to credit
Copy this and paste it in your description, show notes, caption or end credits:
Replace [track] with the track name. Using several tracks, for example in a stream? Write Music by Kimuor instead of a track name.
The credit must be written and in place when you publish. A spoken credit doesn't count. If a written credit isn't possible, as with audio-only podcasts, radio, in-store music, apps or games, you'll need a license.
What isn't allowed
- Remixing, editing, looping or making a new version of the track
- Uploading or selling the track as audio on its own
- Claiming the music as yours or registering it in Content ID or any rights system
- Using it without the written credit
If the credit is missing
We never take videos down or give strikes. Kimuor's music is protected by Content ID: when the credit is in place, nothing happens. When it's missing, the video gets a Content ID claim. It stays online, but its ad revenue goes to the rights holder. Add the credit and, if the claim doesn't clear, write to kimuorcontact@proton.me.
Rather not credit?
Any paid license removes the credit and comes with the WAV file and a license certificate.
See licensesThese guidelines explain how we apply CC BY-ND 4.0. For paid licenses, see the License Terms.
